What is Traditional Chinese Acupuncture?
Traditional Chinese Acupuncture originated in China thousands of years ago and is now practiced throughout the world. It is a complete system of natural drug free treatment based on the principles of maintaining health and treating disease by balancing the energies of the body. It is based on a holistic approach to health, recognising that physical, emotional and mental wellbeing are closely interconnected.
Traditional Chinese Acupuncture offers a patient-centered approach that combines centuries of clinical experience with an expanding body of modern scientific research. Its emphasis on treating the individual as a whole, continues to make it a valued healthcare option for many people seeking to improve both their health and overall quality of life.
Acupuncture may also be combined with other traditional techniques such as moxibustion, cupping therapy, dietary advice and lifestyle recommendations, where appropriate.
Chinese Herbalism is also part of Chinese Medical therapies and has many years of safe and effective practice. Some of our professionally trained Acupuncture practitioners have completed professional post graduate training in Chinese Herbalism.
